Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Manila, a web application operated by My Manila Folder, LLC ("Manila," "we," "us"). By creating an account or using Manila, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
The Service
Manila is a vehicle documentation and maintenance tracking application. It allows you to log notes, photos, service records, reminders, and other information about your vehicles, and optionally share that information with others via public links.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We'll make reasonable efforts to give you notice of material changes.
Your Account
You must be at least 13 years old to use Manila. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
Don't share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of others without their knowledge.
Your Content
You own the content you upload to Manila — your vehicle records, photos, and notes are yours. By uploading content, you grant Manila a limited license to store, display, and transmit that content as necessary to provide the service.
You are responsible for the content you upload. Don't upload content that:
- Violates any law or someone else's rights (including intellectual property rights).
- Contains malware, spam, or other harmful material.
- Is false, deceptive, or misleading.
We may remove content that violates these Terms at our discretion.
Public Share Links
If you enable a public share link for a project, that project becomes viewable by anyone with the link. You are solely responsible for what you choose to make public. Disable the link if you no longer want a project to be publicly accessible.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use Manila for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the service or another user's account.
- Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract data from Manila without prior written permission.
- Reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the application.
- Use Manila in a way that degrades performance or availability for other users.
Pricing and Billing
Manila is currently free to use. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will provide clear advance notice, and any charges will only apply if you affirmatively choose a paid plan.
Disclaimers
Manila is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We make no guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost. We recommend keeping your own backups of important records (you can export your data from within Manila).
Manila is a documentation tool. Nothing in the app constitutes mechanical, legal, or financial advice. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions about your vehicle.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, My Manila Folder, LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Manila, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Our total liability to you for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free users is $0).
Termination
You can delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice depending on severity. Upon termination, your right to use the service ends. We will delete your data per our Privacy Policy.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
